In Athens, we went to the Parthenon.

The Parthenon is kind of like a beacon for Greece – it stands on a high mountain and can be seen almost anywhere from the city below.

We hiked up the mountain until this was revealed:

Seeing the amphitheater next to the Parthenon brought back all sorts of memories of watching “Yanni Live at the Acropolis” over and over and over when I was a kid. My mom was a little obsessed…

It was pretty awesome to look out over Mars Hill from the Parthenon as well.

After tripping walking back down the slick pebbled mountain, Troy couldn’t decide which flavor of frozen lemonade to buy. So he got both. And it was necessary to drink them together.
