One of our favorite things to do in Arizona is take advantage of my dad’s gym membership at a nearby resort. We skip the gym and head straight to the pool. Thankfully, we hit the resort on our first day in town, before sickness struck.
I love to see desert flowers and trees, especially coming from snow.
When we made a brief visit to the resort a little over a year ago, Blake really wanted to go down the gigantic slides. But fear got the best of him. He talked about the missed opportunity ever since that day. This time around, he psyched himself up for weeks to conquer the fear. I was so proud of him when we climbed those big stairs, and after a little pep talk, he went for it.
Of course, once he initially slid down and survived, he was hooked. He went down the slides at least 20 times and proclaimed it to be the best day of his life.
Nash was two inches too short for the slides, but he was still in his element.
I think a visit to the resort has officially become an Arizona tradition.
