June Little Things

The end of the school year brought all sorts of parties.

Blake went to a 5th grade glow dance.

He left for scout camp shortly after school ended and spent an entire week camping in the woods.

The sunsets looked like the best part.

Meanwhile, Nash went to his own local scout day camp.

Crew and Finn got to join the day I volunteered and they were pretty happy about all the attention.

I also spent a night at Girls’ Camp which was not in my comfort zone. Camping, tents, sleeping bags, bugs and especially all of the rodents just about did me in. The only redeeming moment was the hike that revealed a panoramic view of the ocean.

Blake and Nash have always had hand-me-down bikes, so it was a big day when they went to pick out new bikes.

We tried out the new bikes on a sunset boardwalk cruise.

We shuffled beds and moved our old queen bed into Finn’s room, replacing his crib/toddler bed. I went to check on him before I went to bed and was surprised to find Crew in there too. I asked Finn about it in the morning, and he said, “I invited him!”

It became a frequent occurrence.

We made our annual summer bucket list.

We started off the summer strong with job charts. Nash amused us by drawing doodles in each completed square instead of check marks.

We ended the month with a road trip to Arizona after a pipe leak made our kitchen unusable.
