Hi there, I’m Lindsey.
I married young. Had four bouncing boys. Now, I mother. I create. I design. I build. I organize. I seldom cook.
I’m a kindergarten teacher turned yoga instructor turned web designer. Folding laundry is my favorite chore. I love newborns to tears. I am competitive. I’m always freezing cold. I can still do the splits. Crossing items off my to-do list makes me deliriously happy. I can’t fall asleep at night without first sneaking into each of my boys’ bedrooms and watching them breathe in deep slumber.
I love to take pictures. Having photos and writing about moments helps me to really grasp them before they slip quietly out of my brain never to be remembered. The photos and written descriptions are like a safety-net, holding on to those things I cherish most in life.
I often make frantic notes so I can remember all of my favorite moments. Sometimes I put those words on this blog, as lengthy as they may be. That’s how I make sense of life and live in a way that’s meaningful to me.
This is To a T. The phrase is a variation of the expression “to a tittle,” meaning, “to the smallest detail.” That definition encompasses everything I write about and photograph. The small things. The details. The everyday moments that make us who we are.
Whether it be capturing the slanting evening sun in photographs, planning party details meticulously, re-evaluating mothering strategies over and over, or relishing in the moments that make me want to freeze time each day, I like to focus on the small details that make life rich.
